Nantong has an advantage on the plenty supply of well-trained human resource, also, when comparing with Shanghai, it also enjoys a lower commercial cost. These make Nantong a very suitable place for developing contact centre industry. In fact, with the support of the Nantong Government, contact centre industry is achieving steady growth with a batch of contact centres established in recent years. In last year, the total revenue of nearly RMB100 million was generated from the industry in Nantong. To recognize Nantong Government’s support to the contact centre industry development, CECC named the city “National Demonstration Base of contact centre Industry”. The encouragement given by CECC definitely marks a milestone for the industry in Nantong.

Ms. Joyce Poon was very pleased to be invited and given a chance to share her view in the event. She expressed after the event and said: “As a ‘Hometown of Scholar’, Nantong is a desirable city for developing a labour intensive industry like contact centre business. We have no doubt that Nantong can achieve the goal of being ‘City of contact centre Business in China’ in the near future.”
